Africa’s Women’s Day

Did you know? A 10% boost in higher education investment for women in Africa yields a massive 12.8% increase in national GDP. Unfortunately, millions of African girls are still locked out of classrooms today due to structural barriers, early marriage, and health inequities.

When girls are forced out of school, the whole continent suffers. Climate shocks push young girls into long domestic labor, health risks increase, and Sub-Saharan Africa loses over $105 billion every single year. We simply cannot build the Africa we want while leaving half of our talent behind.

This Pan-African Women’s Day, CHED Solutions is thrilled to join the African Union in changing this story!

Systems thinking through the cross-sectoral Health-Environment-Development (PHED) nexus is key in tackling the root causes keeping girls out of school. By connecting health access, climate resilience, and education, we turn high-level strategies into real, on-the-ground initiatives that transform lives.

When women learn, entire communities transition from high dependency to thriving productivity. Let us stand together as Africa, turn strategies into action, and secure the future for every African woman and girl through education.
