Sono Aibe is a seasoned professional with a distinguished career spanning reproductive health philanthropy, grantmaking, and the design and implementation of health and community development programs across the United States, Asia, and Africa. She brings extensive expertise in fostering interdisciplinary policies and initiatives that integrate reproductive health and justice with environmental concerns, including the urgent challenges posed by the climate crisis.
Currently, Sono serves as an independent consultant to global health and development organizations, working to ensure that women’s health and rights remain central to climate agendas worldwide.
Sono holds a Master of Health Science from the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health and a degree in the History of Science from Harvard University. She resides in California, where she continues her commitment to advancing equitable and sustainable development.
